Larnaca Airport (LCA) is the main gateway to Cyprus, and from the arrivals hall it is 40 minutes to Ayia Napa, 45 to Limassol and an hour and a half to Paphos. A pre-booked transfer works like an airport taxi with the fare agreed in advance: €75 to Ayia Napa, from €70 to Limassol, the same at 02:00 as at midday. Below: every destination with distance, time and price, how the pickup works, and the honest word on the buses.

From the plane to the car
- Passport control. No visa for UK and EU passports; the queue is 10 to 15 minutes when several flights land together.
- Baggage belts are right after passport control; on a four-hour flight your bags are usually already circling.
- One exit into a single arrivals hall: cafés, cash machines, SIM card counters and car-hire desks.
- Outside the door: the bus stop, the airport taxi rank and the walkway to the car parks, where booked cars wait.
Where the driver meets you
The simplest arrangement, and the one that works best in the Cyprus heat: message the driver on WhatsApp or Telegram the moment you have your bags. You get his number before landing. He tells you exactly where the car is, about five minutes on foot from the exit, and will happily come to you with a trolley.
No signal, or no wish to fiddle with the phone? The driver waits by the exit from the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. Both are included in the price.
- Flight delayed? We track the flight number and the pickup moves with it. Waiting at the airport is free for 60 minutes from the actual landing.
- Luggage: the Mercedes E-Class takes two large and two small suitcases; the V-Class minivan takes six large. Golf bags, skis or a bike in a box: tell us in advance so the right car comes.
- Child seats and boosters are free, but must be requested at booking; without the request the car arrives without one.
Buses from Larnaca Airport, honestly
There are buses, and they are the cheap option if you travel light and land in daytime:
- Kapnos Airport Shuttle to Nicosia, about an hour, dropping at its own stop in the city.
- Limassol Airport Express to Limassol, roughly an hour and a quarter to a few stops in the city.
- Local bus 425 into Larnaca town and the Finikoudes seafront.
- To Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paphos there is no direct bus: a bus to Larnaca station, a change to an intercity coach, and for Paphos another change in Limassol. Three to four hours instead of 40 to 90 minutes, nothing at night, and the coach stops at the station, not at your hotel. Check timetables on the operators’ sites: they change between summer and winter.
Taxi rank or booked car
There is always a taxi at the rank outside arrivals, and it runs on the meter. For the short hop into Larnaca town it can work out cheaper than our €40 minimum, and there is no shame in saying so. The problem starts with distance: over 70 km to Limassol the meter runs, the tariff goes up after 20:30, an extra bag and a detour add more, and you learn the total at the end.
A booked car turns that into one number written on the booking, identical at noon and at two in the morning, with a driver who already knows which hotel you are going to. It is not a luxury ride, it is the same ride without the surprise at the end. Pay the driver by card or cash, or in advance by payment link.
Hotels near Larnaca Airport
There is no hotel inside the airport. The nearest are in Larnaca itself: Mackenzie beach, five minutes from the terminal, with hotels and restaurants on the sand, and the Finikoudes seafront in the centre, ten minutes away. If your flight lands after midnight and the hotel is in Paphos, a night in Larnaca and the drive in the morning is sometimes the sane plan.
Route questions
How long does it take to get out of Larnaca Airport after landing?
Usually 20 to 30 minutes from the plane to the exit, including passport control and bags; up to 45 minutes when several flights land at once. Waiting is free for 60 minutes from the actual landing, so a long queue costs you nothing.
How much is a taxi from Larnaca Airport to Ayia Napa or Protaras?
Our fixed price is €75 to Ayia Napa and €80 to Protaras for up to 4 passengers, agreed at booking and the same at any hour. A metered taxi from the rank depends on the time of day and the evening tariff after 20:30.
My flight is delayed. What happens to the transfer?
Nothing. You give the flight number at booking and we track it in real time. The driver leaves for the actual landing time, not the scheduled one. If the flight is cancelled, message us and the booking moves to the new flight.
Can I cancel the booking?
Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. After that, if the flight is cancelled or changed, we move the transfer at no cost.
